President Buhari Commissions 76 Housing Unit In Jigawa State

President Muhammadu Buhari has  commissioned 76 Housing units constructed under the National Housing program in Dutse, jigawa state capital.

The President explained that the construction of the houses conceived in 2016, was part of his administration’s development agenda to address housing deficit among Nigerians.

Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Water of Resources, Engineer Suleiman Adamu commended Jigawa state government for making the land available as well as the numerous support and cooperation towards the successful completion of the housing units.

In his remarks, Governor Badaru Abubakar said the construction of the Housing units was in line wih the change agenda of president Buhari’s administration to provide affordable houses to the ordinary citizens.

Badaru who was represented by the state Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi said the state government had already provided 135 hectares of land in each of the 27 local government areas of the state for the construction of housing units.

Also Speaking, the minister of state for works and Housing, Alhaji Muazu Sambo explained that the 76 housing units constructed in Dutse were awarded at the total contract sum of 727 million naira.

He pointed out that, infrastructural facilities provided at the complex gulped more than 463 million naira which included road network, water supply, electricity and drainages.
