Sultan Commissions Council Of Ulama’s HQ, Flags Off Distribution Of 260 Cars In Zamfara

Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has flagged off the distribution of 260 assorted cars to 17 emirs and all district heads in zamfara state and also commissioned ultra-modern state Council of Ulama’s headquaters in Gusau.

The distribution and commissioning ceremony was performed by the Sultan at Government House in Gusau, the state capital.

The Sultan expressed his gratitude to Governor Matawalle for his concern on the welfare of the two important institutions which still remained the thread that holds societies together.

He called on the beneficiaries to continue supporting the administration of Governor Matawalle by giving their best in ending the security challenges facing the state.

Also Speaking, Governor Matawalle said the gesture was done in recognition of the status of the traditional institutions as custodians of religion and culture and a bridge of cohesion and peace in the society.

According to him, his administration has placed ” in high esteem traditional leaders and institutions hence the decision to procured brand new cars, Cadillac 2019 American Model, for 17 Emirs, 13 Senior District Heads and 230 District Heads across the State would receive new Hynder each.

Governor Matawalle assured that his administration would continue to work with traditional and religious leaders to ensure lasting peace and harmony in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the chairman council of chiefs and the Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attarihu Muhammad Ahmad commended the effort of the Governor for the gesture and assured to use them juduciously .

He said the administration had uplifted the dignity and sanctity of traditional institutions in the state.
