Former Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, and also former Chief of Staff to the federal house of representatives Sunusi Garba Rikiji has distributed food items worth millions of naira to his constituents.
Sanusi Rikiji, who is an APC aspirant for the Zamfara Central Senatorial zone forthcoming by-election handed assorted bags of Rice and millet as Ramadan package to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress for unward distribution to his party loyalists.
At the presentation of the foodstuffs held at the APC State Secretariat, Rikiji also announced a cash donation of N1 million from his friend, Musa Mallaha for the purchase of sugar to the beneficiaries across the four local government areas of Gusau, Tsafe, Bungudu and Maru.
According to him, the aim of the gesture is to support the less privileged in the constituency especially during the Ramadhan fast.
He assured to continue to reach all the constituents in order to reduce the current global hardship facing them.
Rikiji also urged the people to pray for an end to security challenges bedeviling the state in particular and the nation in general.
Receiving the items, the APC state Chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani called on well to do groups and individuals in the state to emulate Rikiji.
