Skills Acquisition : ITF Trains About 4,000 Youths Across The Country

Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Sir Joseph Ari has appealed to state governments and private sectors to intensifies effort in complementing government’s effort of ensuring job creation in the country.

He stated this at a graduation ceremony of one hundred sokoto state indigenes who received three months training on catering and plumbing in the state.

The director general who was represented by director legal and council affairs department headquarter, Hajiya safiya Abubakar said the ITF trained a total of three thousand nine hundred and five Nigerians on various skills across the country.

The DG noted that until the state as well as the private sector accord priority on jobs creation, the quest for ensuring job security in the country might be a mirage.

He argued that the pervasive security challenges can only be addressed through bridging the gap of unemployment in the country.

He added that the benefiaries were given starter packs to enable them established their businesses.

Speaking at the event, state commissioner for commerce and industry Alhaji Bashir Gudado Jegawa represented by director commerce of the ministry, Alhaji Sanka Hamidu commended the ITF for the intervention stressing that the move would go a long way in assisting the state government’s effort of jobs creation for sustainable development

He urged the benefiaries to utilize the opportunity provided to them to improve their living standard.
