The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission HYPPADEC has warned that it will not condone laxity and indiscipline on the part of its staff.

Managing Director of the Commission Alh Abubakar Sadik Yelwa gave the warning while declaring opened an orientation and induction course for newly recruited staff of HYPPADEC in Minna Niger state.

Alh Abubakar Sadik Yelwa who said the induction course is smulteneously going on in other five HYPPADEC states of Kwara Kebbi Kogi Benue and Plateau however maintained that they will not take the issue of discipline lightly.

He reminded the one hundred and twenty new recruited HYPPADEC staff from Niger state that they are not in the Commission to play but they are here for service to justify reasons for it’s establishment.

According to him that is why they have the junior and senior staff disciplinery committees saddled with responsibility of dealing with erring staff with a view to enhancing professionalism in service.

Alh Abubakar Sadik Yelwa further explained that about four hundred staff have so far been recruited by the Commission which were spread across the six HYPPADEC states in Nigeria for effective service delivery.

The Managing Director HYPPADEC said in the transparent recruitment exercise communities worst heat by this disaster were considered towards bringing soccour and relief to their family members.

Various papers such as Civil Service Procedure Overview and HYPPADEC Overview among others are to be presented by resource persons during the induction course for newly recruited staff of the Commission.
