Sustained Dialogue Key To Lasting Global Peace – Pope


Pope Francis has called for sustained dialogue between stakeholders in conflict zones as a means of lasting peaceful coexistence in the world.


The pope made the call in a message to the Fifty Fifth World Peace Day organized by Development and Peace Initiative of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna.


Pope Francis said dialogue entails coming together of diverse people to share views and perspective to reaching agreement for lasting peace.


In a speech, the coordinator, Development and Peace Initiative Reverend father Joshua Achir said the annual event was aimed at bringing together various stakeholders to discuss issues that hinders sustainable peace in the society so as to proffer solution.

Reverend Father Achir emphasized that the organization had trained hundreds of people with various skills while some among them will be given starter packs to empower themselves.


In a remark, Vice Chairman of the state Christian Association of Nigeria Reverend Father Chris Angaye pledged total support to peaceful efforts and called on government to ensure justice to all.
