The scene of the fire Incident at Kulende Junction area of Ilorin in Kwara state,-by-ALI MUHAMMAD RABIU

An early morning inferno has gutted a shopping complex at an event Hall on Kulende junction, zango Area of Ilorin in Kwara state destroying property and goods worth millions of naira.

The fire incident affected four out of the twenty four shops at the shopping complex within the premises of the event Hall.

The quick intervention of the Men of the Kwara State Fire Service saved the shopping complex from totally destruction.

Confirming the incident, the Kwara state Fire Service Spokesman, Hassan Adekunle said the inferno occurred as a result of the careless attitude of an unknown person who deliberately set some abandoned tyres on fire in the area.

In his remark, Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince John Falade advised the residents to avoid indiscriminate burning of tyres and bush.
