Niger state govẹrnment requires over thirty billion naira to offset the arrears of gratuities of retired Civil Servants.

Secretary to the Niger State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane said this at a function in Minna.

Ahmed Ibrahim Matane explained that Niger state govẹrnment will continue to accord priority to the payment of benefits of retirees.

This he said would be done by making efforts to pay one hundred percent retirement benefits to retired Civil Servants.

Ahmed Ibrahim Matane however maintained that efforts are being made to turn around the current challenges facing retired Civil Servants in Niger state.
