Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says a total of 418 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Sunday with no death in the country.
The Agency gave the update on the outbreak of the disease in a Facebook post on Monday.
NCDC noted that the new infections were recorded in 12 States with no record of new case in Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Out of the latest figure, Lagos had 314, Ogun 27, Plateau 18, Edo 17, Enugu 11, Abia 8, and Delta 7.
Others are Bayelsa 5, Kano 4, Rivers 4, Osun 2, and Oyo 1.
This brings the total number of cases confirmed since the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria to 217,481 confirmed from the 3,629,527 samples collected and tested by the NCDC since the outbreak of the disease in February 2020.
Of the confirmed cases, the nation’s death toll from the disease stands at 2,981, while the number of those who have been successfully treated and discharged rose to 207,746.
