Niger state government has said that it will continue to conduct high impact health programmes for the benefit of women and children across the state.

Wife of Niger state Governor and Chairperson Northern Governors Wives Forum DR Amina Abubakar Bello said this while flagging off the second round of November 2021 Maternal born and child health week in Chanchaga local government council.

DR Amina Abubakar Bello called on stakesholders to mobilise all eligible persons in their household and communities to the designated health facilities to be vaccinated accordingly.

Shẹ however urged Nigerlites to as a matter of urgency continue to observe and abide by Covid 19 prevention and control protocols such as wearing of face mask social dustance and hand washing.

In a remark, Commissioner Of Health DR Muhammad Muhammad Makusidi said part of activities of the week included mass vaccination against Covid 19 among others.

Represesented by the Executive Director Primary Health Care Development Agency DR Ibrahim Ahmed Dangana the Commissioner maintained that Healthcare sector remained one of the cardinal priority of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello administration in Niger state.

DR Muhammad Makusidi said complete renovation and upgrading of key General Hospitals in Minna Kontagora Tungan magajiya and Suleja were ongoing.

In their seperate remarks some donor agencies Plan International Nigeria, UNICEF and WHO promised to scale up their support on health related matters to achieve maximum benefits.
