The Borno state Police Command has paraded four suspects for raping seven minors in Borno state. 

Briefing newsmen in Maiduguri, Commissioner of Police Abdu Umar said one of the suspect, 27 year old Abubakar Baba raped four minors between four and seven years old in Gwange ward of Maiduguri metropolis. 

Mr Abdu Umar explained that the suspect lured the children who are in the same neighbourhood and forcefully had canal knowledge with them, causing severe injury to their private parts.

According to the CP, the survivors have been taken to hospital and already been discharged. 

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the suspect Abubakar Baba confessed to have carried out the heinous act.

According to him, he raped two contrary to the allegations that he defiled four minors. 

Another suspect Bilyaminu alias Malam Sale lured a six year old girl into a mosque in Gwange ward and raped her.

The Commissioner of Police said all the suspects would be charged to court after investigation have been concluded. 

Mr Abdu Umar also paraded 48 other suspects for committing various crimes ranging from gangsterism, criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and possession of dangerous weapons.
