Plans have reached an advance state by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP North Central to adopt a concensus Presidential candidate for the twenty twenty three General Elections in Nigeria.

Former National Chairman of PDP Kawu Baraje said this when he led members of Senator Bukola Saraki consultation team on an advocacy visit to PDP stakeholders in Minna Niger state.

Kawu Baraje explained that North Central has served as the bridge and engine room holding Nigeria for long and that it is time for them to take their destiny into their own hand.

According to him my own and our own are different therefore it is time for them to lead Nigeria for good.

He however lamented that North Central had not been given vital ministries as Ministers thus the need for Nigerians to look towards the North Central for Presidential candidate.

Answering question on how can PDP National Chairman and Presidential candidate come from same Zone Kawu Baraje maintained that there is no problem with that as PDP as a serious political party has resolve that matter.

PDP Chairman Niger state Barr Tanko Beji in his remarks said they will support the idea of producing a Presidential candidate from North Central.

Barr Tanko Beji opined that it has been long overdue stressing that it is now time for them to produce a presdent in Nigeria and called on Nigerians to rally round to achieve their mission.
