Nigeria Police Force has donated the sum of Five Million, One hundred and Thirty Six Thousand Naira to 5 slain police families in Zamfara State.
Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command, CP Ayuba Elkana who presented the Cheques to the Next of kin of the deceased Policemen said, the gesture was from the Inspector General of Police’s Family insurance and Group life insurance to alleviate sufferings of families of Police officers and men who died in service.
CP Ayuba said the support was timely and would serve as a moral booster to the police personnel, saying IGP Usman Alkali Baban had shown a lot of commitments towards welfare of Officer and Men of the Nigeria Police Force especially in the payments of life insurance, Death Benefit to fallen heroes.
He therefore charged the beneficiaries to utilize the money judiciously, noting that, the Zamfara State Police has presented cheques to various families of the Deceased Officers for fifth time during his regime and prayed for the repose of the fallen Heroes.
One of the benefiting families, Usman Musa, who collected Three Million One hundred and Thirty Six Thousand Naira, ASP Dankane S Rafi expressed gratitude to the IGP and vowed to justify the gesture.q
The other families of Four Rank and file officers received Five hundred thousand Naira Each.
