Nigerians residing in local communities have been urged to take advantage of free medical services offered by Corps members in their localities to access quality health care .

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim,made the call at the flag off of the free medical outreach program in Isin Local Government area of Kwara State.

Represented by the Kwara State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Francisca Olaleye, the Director General noted that the health initiative was a platform to grant people at the grassroots easier, free and quality healthcare.

He said during the medical outreach, corps medical volunteers carry out diagnosis and treatment, including minor medical procedures and referrals of patients.

General Ibrahim said that the health program, launched in 2014, with the support of partners, had so far donated over three hundred wheelchairs, established community-based clinics and set up clinics for NYSC Secretariats .

In his remark on behalf of the Community the Olusin of Ijara Isin, Oba Julius Ajibola, represented by the Community Chairman, Alhaji Suleiman Madandola, commended the Corps members, NYSC management and other , donors for taking the initiative to the community.
