Jigawa state government says it will partner with the South Korean government to deploy agricultural experts to improve rice production in the state.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Badaru Abubakar on New Media, Alhaji Auwalu Sankara disclosed this in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Dutse.

According to him, the state government will partner with the Korean government and bring innovations in farming techniques of rice to enable farmers in the state to compete in the international market.

He said, Governor Badaru Abubakar who is presently on an official working visit to South Korea had already met with a team of experts to discuss a strategic partnership with the state government to deploy experts as well as agricultural technology in order to boost rice farming in the state.

Auwalu Sankara added that, if the program kickstart Jigawa State will benefit in various ways from the Korean experts on rice farming, rice production and irrigation farming.
