National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies has warned Nigerians to desist from buying fake appointment letters from criminals.

The Registrar of the Board, Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi gave the warning while briefing newsmen in Kaduna.

Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi lamented that some criminals were parading themselves as staff of the board selling appointment letters from two hundred thousand naira to one point one million naira.

He lamented that the criminals forged the board’s letterhead, signature and seal to Deceive unsuspecting Nigerians.

The Registrar explained that some of the criminals had been arrested and investigation was on going.

Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi appealed to Nigerians to report to the police or the management whenever someone approached them with the issue of buying appointment letters.

He also explained that the board always use the national dailies to announce vacancies if there was any.

Professor Muhammad Shafiu Abdullahi appealed to Nigerians to contact the management of the board directly for any information needed.
