Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), has restored telecommunications network services in Gusau, Zamfara State Capital.

The Network Services which were restored at about 11pm (Friday) followed improvement of Security and approval of the State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle as announced by the Commissioner for Information Malam Ibrahim Magaji Dosara.

Ibrahim Dosara in a radio announcement said, the governor directed the NCC to restore network services following the improvement of security in the state and also approved the reopening of Gusau Weekly Markets as well as adjusting the movements on vehicles from 8pm-6am to 12am-6am.

He noted that, the local government areas will be monitored to note security improvement which is prerequisite to the full restoration of telecommunications services.

It could be recalled that, the NCC has on September 3, 2021 shutdown all telecommunications network services in the entire Zamfara State as a result of insecurity.
