Kebbi State Urban Development Authority has warned against dumping of refuse on drainages to avoid flood in the state.

The General Manager of the agency, Malam Aliyu Umar, who gave the warning while chatting with newsmen in his office, said before the commencement of the rainy season, the agency dissealed all drainages in major cities across the state for easy water flow.

He explained that, the agency regularly evacuate refuse at every dumping site across the state.

The General Manager noted that, in the state capital, the agency gave attention to places where flood occurr by allocating the people of the area the contract of disealtng their drainages themselves.

On the issue of construction and erection of any edifice, Malam Aliyu Umar commended the public for obeying the law by submitting building plans and getting permission before commencing the project.
