Kebbi State Government has confirmed the death of one hundred and fourth six people following a cholera outbreak in the state.

The Chief Medical Director of Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza, who made this known to journalist said, two thousand, two hundred and eight people have been affected by the disease across twenty local government areas of the state.

Dr. Bunza, who did not give the period within which the death occurred said, the epidemic had spread across the twenty out of the twenty one local government areas.

According to him, the state government is now doing its best to contain the spread of the disease saying, steps are currently being taken to stem the spread of the disease.
