Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji-OPHD have rescued 5 students and a teacher of the Federal Government College Yauri in Kebbi State.

Deputy Force Commander of OPHD, Air Commodore, Abubakar Abdulkadir stated this at their headquarters in Gusau while parading some recovered rustled cows to journalists.

According to him, in the early hours of today (Friday), troops of the Operation Hadarin Daji had an encounter with the abductors of Students of FGC Yauri at their blocking point in Kebbi State where they engaged the bandits and forced them to abandon 5 of the kidnapped students and one teacher.

However, Air Commodore Abdulkadir said during the encounter they loss one student, saying troops are on the trail of the bandits to rescue the remaining students and bring the perpetrators to book.
