All farmers Association of Nigeria AFAN has  commended Jigawa State for distributing agricultural farm input palliatives to farmers affected by flood disaster.

The chairman, state chapter of AFAN Alhaji Ya’u Mai unguwan Jaga made the commendation during flag off distribution of relief materials to 3,000 farmers affected by flood and rainfall disaster in mallam Madori local government area.

He urged the affected farmers to make judicious utilization of the items received to ease their sufferings.

Alhaji Mai unguwa Jaga explained that items distributed were certified seed of sesame, sorghum, rice, millet, herbicides, insecticidal powder and sprayer machines.

Also speaking, chairman of the AFAN, Mallam Madori branch, expressed appreciation to the state government for fulfilling the promises made during a sympathy visit paid by the state officials to various affected areas.
