Kaduna State Police Command has arrested one Jonathan Yakubu of Sabon Tasha in Chikun local government area and recovered sophisticated beretta pistol in his possession based on reliable intelligence.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Jalige in Kaduna.
ASP Mohammed Jalige explained that prior to his arrest, information had it that Jonathan Yakubu and his gang members have been terrorising the said area, dispossessing innocent citizens of their valuables.
He maintained that the suspect was currently giving the police useful information on the whereabouts of his gang members whom were at large.
The Command’s Spokesperson assured of update on the on-going investigation as it unfolds, and appealed to members of various communities to assist the police in matters of public safety and security.
