Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika

Ministry of Aviation is to implement the Aviation Sector Roadmap to make the country assumes its rightful position in global air transportation.

Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika stated this during the Ministry’s 2021 Budget with the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation in Abuja.

Senator Hadi Sirika explained that since 2015 government was implementing the Road Map that includes providing a National Carrier aimed at driving the nation’s Aviation Sector to meet global standard.

He expressed concern that Covid-19 Pandemic has hindered the implementation of 2020 Budget assuring that efforts are being made to reduce the impact of the Virus on the economy.

According to him, the Ministry proposed about 79 Billion Naira as capital budget for 2021 with emphasis on implementing the Aviation Roadmap through Public Private Partnership arrangement.

In a remark, the Committee Chairman, Mr. Nnoli Nnaji assured the committee’s resolve to partner with the ministry in making the Nigerian Aviation sector more robust and one of the best in the African continent.
