Governor Badaru of Jigawa state

Jigawa state has expressed concern over increasing number of communities affected by flood, windstorm and building collapse.

The Governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar stated this during disbursement of economic empowerment materials in Gumel local government area.

He explained that recent report had shown about twenty people lost their lives while properties worth millions of naira were destroyed rendering a number of families homeless as a result of the disaster.

The governor pointed out that already, government delegation had been dispatched to sympathize with victims and offer emergency assistance to them. Cov/USMAN MZ
