Emir of Daura Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar

Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar has urged people of Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State to obey government’s stay-at-home order so as to prevent further spread of Coronavirus in the area.

He made the call at a meeting with Community Leaders to review the level of compliance following lockdown imposed on the area.

The Emir urged Imams and Ward Heads in the area to report any breach to security agencies.

Meanwhile, a Medical team deployed by the State Government has fumigated the streets of Daura in a bid to disinfect the town of COVID-19.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari had directed the State’s Emergency Response Committee on Covid-19 to liaise with the National Center for Disease Control to contain further spread of the virus in the state.
