Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Haruna Manu has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in the state on the occasion marking the Eid-el Fitr celebration after a month-long Ramadan fast.

Manu while fielding questions from journalists shortly after he observed the two Raka’at of Eid-el Fitr prayers at the Taraba State University Juma’at Masjid in Jalingo alongside other Muslims, called on all to join in the fight against insecurity via fervent prayers.

He also applauded the resilience and strength of the Muslim faithful in the state during the Ramadan period.

The Deputy Governor further commended them for their efforts and sacrifices during the holy month.

” While we are celebrating this year’s Sallah, let us remember that our dear state has recently been confronted with a new and strange security situation. We must therefore pray fervently to Almighty Allah for peace and restoration of normalcy.

The Deputy Governor saluted Tarabans for their support to the present administration under Governor Darius Ishaku to the present moment.

” As we wind up the last leg of our tenure, I urge you all to continue to support us so that we would deliver on our promises. We have come a long way and we can not relent now”, he noted.
