NULGE Praises Gov Badaru For Prompt Payment Of Salaries, Others

Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees NULGE has commended Governor Badaru Abubakar of jigawa state for given adequate priority to the payment of civil servants salaries and entitlements.

The National president of the Union Comrade Akeem Ambali Olatunji stated this when he led the national, zonal and state executives of the union to government house in Dutse.

According to him, the leadership of NULGE were at the government house Dutse and presented an award of honour to governor Badaru who was also being conferred as Labour Governor of The Year 2021 by the Union.

The president explained that the governor was chosen for the award in consideration of his performance and good relationship with workers whom he regards as key partners in governance.

Mr Akeem further explained that, reports had shown how activities have been paralyzed in many local government secretariats across the country, stating that in Jigawa state the story was different as all the 27 LGAs were kept busy and vibrant by governor Badaru’s policies.

“We are aware that, Governor Badaru was the first Governor to implemented the 30,000 minimum wage and also he never failed in paying workers salary since assuming the mantle of leadership in the state.~ He said

Mr Akeem pointed out that, the payment of worker’s pension, gratuity and other entitlements in Jigawa state was up to date, thus NULGE presented the award in appreciation to his passion for the workers

In a remark, Governor Badaru expressed happiness and appreciation for the honour, describing it as a source of encouragement.

The Governor, therefore, promised to continue collaborating with civil servants who were the engine room of government for effective public service delivery in the state.
