The former Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar popularly known as Gado Sony, has commended the organisers of the party’s recent campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna State for an impressive turnout of supporters.

He made this known while speaking with newsmen in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, on the successful conclusion of the APC campaign flag-off rally.

Alhaji Umar said the event demonstrated the party’s political strength and the commitment of its supporters to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the success of other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He disclosed that more than 10,000 people from Zamfara State attended the rally in solidarity with Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

Ibrahim who is also the Current APC Zonal Chairman for Zamfara North, commended the governors of Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa states for mobilising party stakeholders and supporters to participate in the rally.

He applauded, the Director General, APC Presidential Campaign Council Senator Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar and his team for working assiduously to ensure success of the campaign flag-off.

He observed that, Kaduna was filled with APC supporters from across the North-West and other parts of the country, chanting solidarity songs in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Alhaji Ibrahim Umar described the rally as one of the biggest political gatherings witnessed in Kaduna in recent times, noting that, the venue appeared too small to accommodate the large number of participants.

He praised the organisers for ensuring a peaceful gathering, adding that the event was conducted without violence.

According to him, the massive turnout demonstrated the APC’s strength as a major political party in Nigeria and across Africa.

He also commended President Tinubu for executing various development projects across the North-West, while identifying insecurity as one of the region’s major challenges, particularly in Zamfara State.

He traced the security crisis to the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, noting that the challenge persisted throughout the eight-years administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former party secretary, however, expressed optimism that, the current administration was making concerted efforts to address insecurity and restore lasting peace to the region.

He prayed for Allah’s intervention to bring an end to banditry and other security threats affecting communities across Zamfara State and the wider North-West.

Dan Malikin Birnin Magaji further expressed confidence that, President Tinubu would secure victory in Zamfara State in the 2027 general elections, just as he did in 2023.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar and urged APC supporters across Zamfara State to remain united and mobilise support for all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.

He added that the enthusiasm displayed by men and women, traditional drummers and musicians at the Kaduna rally reflected the excitement among party supporters and their commitment to the APC’s political activities.
