Governor Nasiru Ahmad Elrufai of Kaduna State says bandits have lost their right to life and must be dealt with swiftly.

He stated this during a town hall meeting organised by the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture in Kaduna.

Governor Elrufai said the nation’s security forces must collaborate to take the fight to the bandits and terrorists with a view to recovering and restoring normalcy to areas occupied by them.

This accoring to him, this would enable law abiding citizens to engage in farming and livestock production without fear.

Mallam Nasir Elrufai described the situation where security agencies react to cases of banditry and abduction as unacceptable.

He advocated for the recruitment of more security personnel as well as adequate equipment to enable them confront any security threat.

According to him, to curb the banditry problem in the North West and North Central, government must implement the National Livestock Transformation Plan to accelerate investment in modern animal husbandry.

The Governor who stressed the need for the nation to have a decentralized judiciary also called for the creation of state police due to lack of enough security agencies in the country.
