His Royal Highness Emir of Zuru Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mikailu Sami Gomo III

The Zuru Emirate Council has clarified the circumstances surrounding the dissolution of the National Executive Committee of the Zuru Emirate Development Society (ZEDS).

In a statement by the Council Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Yahaya Marafa, said the Council said the dissolution was due to the expiration of the leadership’s tenure, which had been on acting capacity since 2022, and not to discredit them.

It added that, the clarification was issued to avoid misinterpretation, describing the dissolved members as honourable gentlemen who volunteered to serve their community.

According to the statement, the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, expressed appreciation for their sacrifices and commitment during their acting tenure, prayed for Allah’s reward, and wished them continued guidance.

The Emir also solicited their support and cooperation for the new executive committee to ensure sustainable unity and development of the emirate.
