The Kaduna State Government has suspended activities marking the 66th Independence Day celebration earlier scheduled for October 1st.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, announced the suspension in a statement, saying it takes immediate effect.
The government regretted any inconvenience the decision may cause and appreciated the cooperation, understanding and support of the public and all stakeholders.
