The Galadiman Lafia, Musa Labaran Bage, has dissociated himself and the Gidan Galadiman royal family from a recent report credited to Mohammed Galadima-Gana alleging an attempt to exclude the family from the proposed creation of additional districts in Lafia Emirate by the Nasarawa State Government.

Bage stated this in a press statement made available to journalists in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

He explained that the author of the earlier publication did not consult him or any recognised members of the Gidan Galadiman royal family before making the allegation public.

The Galadiman Lafia stressed that, as the leader of the Gidan Galadiman family, he and the family remained loyal to the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage I, and the entire Lafia Emirate Council.

He said the interests and concerns of the Gidan Galadiman family regarding the proposed creation of additional districts had already been communicated to the relevant stakeholders within the emirate.

According to him, the matter is already before the Emir, making it inappropriate for anyone who is neither the recognised leader nor a member of the family to speak publicly on the issue.

Bage said, “This matter is before the Emir, and it is wrong for somebody who is not the leader of the family, and not even known in the family, to go to the press and discuss it when it is already being handled.”

It would be recalled that Mohammed Galadima-Gana had recently alleged an apparent move to exclude the Gidan Galadiman family from the proposed creation of additional districts in the Lafia Emirate Council.

He had appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to ensure the inclusion of the family in the exercise, citing the need for justice, fairness, peace and equitable treatment.
