Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State says his administration has fulfilled its promise to the people of Jaba Local Government Area with the commissioning of five township roads in Kwoi and the Kwoi–Gora Road.
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa says the Governor stated this during the inauguration of the projects, noting that the intervention has ended more than two decades without the construction of completed roads in the area.
Governor Uba Sani recalled that during the groundbreaking ceremony in September last year, he pledged that the projects would be completed, stressing that his administration is committed to fulfilling promises made to the people.
The Governor said Jaba was among the twelve local government areas that had suffered neglect in road infrastructure over the years, stressing that his administration is correcting such imbalance through equitable distribution of development projects across the State.
He disclosed that his administration has initiated one hundred and fifty road projects covering more than one thousand three hundred and fifty-five kilometres across the twenty-three local government areas, with most of the projects already completed.
Governor Uba Sani explained that the newly completed roads would improve movement within Kwoi, enhance access to schools and healthcare facilities, promote commercial activities, reduce transportation challenges for farmers and traders, and attract investment to Jaba Local Government Area.
He added that the Kwoi–Gora Road, which had previously become difficult to use, especially during the rainy season, will now boost social and economic activities while improving access to essential services and emergency response.
The newly commissioned roads include Audu Tilo Road, Sabon Gari Road, Doctor Sani Road, Hospital Road, Kpop Ham Palace Road, as well as the strategic Kwoi–Gora Road.
