Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada representing nasarawa west, has declared winner of the APC governorship primary election in nasarawa state.
The chairman of the committee professor Theodore Maiyaki, who announced the result in lafia, said Aliyu Wadada defeated ex-IGP Mohammed Adamu with one hundred and ninety five thousand, two hundred and eighty five votes.
The chairman further said, that retired Inspector General of Police Mohammad Adamu came second with thirty nine thousand, six hundred and ninety seventy votes, Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna got five thousand eight hundred and forty four votes.
According to him, Mr. Zakkah Yakubu came forth with three hundred and eighty six votes, Dr. Fatima Abdullahi Adamu one hundreds and thirty six, Tanimu Adamson sixty four votes and Dr. Hassan Liman SAN got eight hundred and sixty three votes respectively.
Professor Theodore Maiyaki who express satisfaction with the level of cooperation and peaceful conduct of the primary election also commended security agencies, journalists and the electorates for ensuring the success of the exercise.
