The Former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu says his aspiration for nasarawa state governorship seat is for the best interest and to transform the state.

 

The ex-IGP stated this when visited the emir of lafia at his palace to seek for royalty blessing after consulting widely with APC stakeholders in the state.

 

He said that his aspiration has gotten wider acceptance from all stakeholders in the state and we are are very pleased to be received in the palace today.

 

“Our coming to the palace here today is the final trip that we will ever take to any palace. Because we went round the state to different palaces and we felt the final place we should come is our own palace, that’s why we are here today,” he said.

 

He called on the stakeholders and party supporters to vote him in the forthcoming APC governorship primary in the state.

Also speaking, The former Governor of nasarawa state Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, advised the supporters of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC, in the state to resist any preferential treatment on any governorship aspirant in the forthcoming governorship primary in the state.

 

Senator Al-Makura said this while addressing APC’s stakeholders and party’s loyalists during a courtesy visit on the emir of lafia Justice Sidi Bage at his palace in lafia the state capital.

 

He explained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party had adopted direct primaries in all positions contested in the party which gave every eligible member the right to contest any position he wants.

 

The former governor said no endorsement, no consensus and no preferential treatment on an aspirant; adding that people should be allows to vote their preferred aspirant in the forthcoming governorship primary in the state.

 

The former senator for nasarawa south further assured the party supporters that the former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu would become the candidate of the party in the forthcoming party’s governorship primaries in the state.

 

According to Al-Makura,” We want to assure you that by the special grace of God, IGP Adamu is going to come out in flying colors in the primary.

 

“But it must be said that those who preside over this exercise must ensure that it is in line with the electoral act, with the party guidelines, and every interested party must be part and parcel of the decision.

 

“Before you today in the congregation of the supporters, admirers of IGP Adamu to pay you what I call a special courtesy different from all other courtesies that have been paid in various palaces.

 

“This is instructive because Lafia palace is the base of IGP Adamu. It is not a courtesy. It is an obligation for the son, after having seen virtually every leader, every emirate, every chief, every royalty, to come back home as the grand finale to brief his father about the successes and gains they have had in the entire campaign, especially now that it remains just about three days before the primaries to seek for a royal blessing,” Al-Makura said.

 

The emir of lafia, justice Sidi Mohammed Bage retired said, as traditional rulers will always be as fathers to all the politicians and advised them to play the game according to the field for the it success.

 

Justice Sidi Mohammed Bage also appreciates the effort of the former police boss Mohammed Adamu and assured of their prayers.
