The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Barrister Jalul Baba-Ahmed of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna Network Centre.
In a condolence message signed by the Council Secretary, Comrade Gambo Santos Sanga, the NUJ described the late Barrister Jalul Baba-Ahmed as a dedicated journalist and an exceptional professional who combined his legal expertise with ethical and responsible journalism.
The Council noted that the deceased made remarkable contributions to the media profession through his commitment to truth, fairness and justice, adding that his legacy would remain unforgettable within the journalism community.
The NUJ Kaduna State Council also recalled his invaluable support to the union, particularly his role in conducting the legal swearing-in of elected officials of the Council on several occasions, which he carried out with professionalism, humility and dedication.
According to the statement, his death is a painful loss not only to the FRCN family but also to the journalism profession in Kaduna State and beyond.
The Council prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, colleagues and associates the strength to bear the loss.
