Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the abduction of students of the Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University.

 

The state Police Public Relation Officer SP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the arrest to Newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.

 

SP Ramhan Nansel said the breakthrough follow sustained intelligence-led operations and coordinated tactical efforts by operatives of the command, which resulted to the arrest of the suspects.

 

According to him, the syndicate were apprehended after diligent investigation and strategic operations aimed at dismantling the criminal network responsible for the abduction.

 

He confirmed that the abducted students have been released safely and reunited with their families.

 

The public relations officer also confirmed that, the state commissioner of police assured members of the public that investigations are ongoing with a view to apprehending other fleeing members of the syndicate and bringing all those involved in the crime to justice.
