The Senate has confirmed the two presidential nominees for appointments as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The two areJoseph Tegbe from Oyo State and Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye from Kogi State as ministers of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Their confirmation followed a thorough screening exercise at tge committee of the whole during which senators asked a series of questions on key issues in the power sector and foreign affairs—ministries

The two confirmed ministers are expected to fill the vacuum created by the recent resignations of former ministers.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, reminded Mr. Joseph Tegbe that the performance of the power sector remains below the expectations of Nigerians, urging him to deploy his wealth of experience to change the narrative.

Responding to questions from lawmakers, Mr. Joseph Tegbe and Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye assured the Senate that they would justify the confidence reposed in them by President Bola Tinubu and pledged to maintain a close working relationship with the legislature in the discharge of their duties.
