Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, has stressed that continuous engagement with community leaders and key stakeholders is essential for addressing complex security challenges.
He made this known while receiving participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 19 from the National Institute for Security Studies, Abuja, who are currently on a study tour in the state.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Gebon Timothy Kataps, the governor commended the participants for choosing Taraba as their study destination.
He noted that the state has implemented proactive security measures that have improved stability and supported advancements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
The delegation, comprising senior personnel from security agencies, law enforcement bodies, and key government institutions, is conducting research aimed at addressing complex security threats and enhancing inter-agency collaboration.
The study tour is themed: “Illicit Financial Flows, Ethnic Militias, and Resource Competition in Africa: Implications for Regional Security.” Participants are expected to engage with relevant stakeholders to gather credible insights that will inform policy development and operational strategies.
