Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria CSSUNN, has pledged to strengthen advocacy, partnerships, and capacity building to improve nutrition outcomes across the country.

The newly elected Chairperson, Ms Jessica Bartholomew in her acceptance speech at the 10th Annual General Meeting, expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in her, describing the mandate as a call to service and responsibility.

She commended the outgoing leadership for laying a solid foundation that has strengthened the Alliance and positioned it for greater impact.

Ms Jessica noted that addressing nutrition challenges in Nigeria requires unity, strategic action, and sustained commitment, emphasizing that the issues, though complex, are not insurmountable.

She outlined key priorities of her leadership to include strengthening systems across state chapters, enhancing resource mobilization, and promoting evidence-based research and policy engagement.

According to her, inclusive leadership will remain central, ensuring that all members have a voice and that the Alliance operates with transparency, accountability, and shared ownership.

She also stressed the importance of collaboration with government, development partners, the private sector, and communities in achieving sustainable nutrition solutions.

The Chairperson called on members to renew their commitment and bring renewed energy towards achieving the collective goal of a well-nourished Nigeria.

She appreciated organizers and partners for the success of the 10th Annual General Meeting and formally declared the meeting closed.
