Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has warnerd intending pilgrims from the state to desist from any act that would tarnished their image and that of their state and the country at large While in Holy land.


The governor gave the warning while flagging off the distribution of uniforms, bags and other approved items to intending pilgrims from the state which held at the Agency’s premises in Birnin Kebbi the state capital.

Governor Nasir Idris assured to give all the necessary support needed by the agency and the intending pilgrims from the state before during and after the Hajj exercise in order to make it successful and acceptable.

He said over 4,500 pilgrims are expected to participate in this year’s Hajj exercise from Kebbi State and urged them to intensify prayers for lasting peace to prevail in Kebbi State and Nigeria in general.

Governor Idris further explained that, the Agency has completed all arrangements and met the prerequisite stipulations on the conduct of the 2026 Hajj exercise adding that, the airlift will commences on 2nd May, 2026 at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi.

He expressed satisfaction about the perfect arrangement put in place by Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board in readiness of airlift to Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Chairman of the agency, Alhaji Faruk Yaro Enabo said they have secured six decent accomodations I’m Mecca very close to Haram Mosque for the welfare of the intending pilgrims.

According to him, the state has the largest number of pilgrims who have paid their fares in full and they were fully medically screened and would go for another screening before airlift to ensure no pilgrim left the country with an underlying medical problem

Enabo further explained, the Agency has secured all travel documents for the Pilgrims, including Visas as well as uniform, bags and other essentials.

He said the Agency was highly grateful to Governor Nasir Idris for providing Organization with the all the necessary support to perfect its operations, reitrating the management and staff loyalty
