The sub-Committee of finance of the All Progressives Congress -APC’s national convention scheduled for today has raised substantial amount for the smooth running of the convention.

The secretary of the sub committee, Senator Abubakar Kyari and Minister of Agriculture, on behalf of the chairman of the sub- committee Governor, Hope Uzodinma of Imo state, announced this while briefing newsmen shortly after their meeting in Abuja.

The Committee is co- chaired by the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the meeting was part of ongoing engagements ahead of the convention scheduled for today.

Kyari disclosed that the committee has made significant progress over the past two weeks, in the successful mobilisation of resources needed for the event.

Senator Kyari explained that the funds raised so far are adequate to cover the requirements presented by the organising committee for the National Convention, saying the contributions are still ongoing.

The Secretary further assured that once the final figures are confirmed, they will be communicated to the public accordingly.

“As a finance committee, our primary responsibility is to solicit contributions, and we are pleased to report that we have carried out this responsibility effectively,”.

Kyari expressed appreciation to all contributors and stakeholders for their support and commitment to the success of the event.

He further assured Nigerians and party members a hitch free and peaceful conduct, urging members to abide by the rules of the All Progressive Congress during the exercise.
