Former Niger State Governor, Dr.Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has said that his decision to host the Eid El Fitr Mini Durbar at his Jamiville Farm, is to promote the rich cultural heritage of the state.

He stated this while fielding questions from Newsmen in Minna, the Niger state capital.

Dr.Muazu Babangida Aliyu explained the mini durbar  is also aimed at enhancing and promoting unity among the diverse cultural and religious groups in the state.

He maintained that peace is the prerequisite for any meaningful development.

According to him it is also targeted at taking the youths away from social vices towards engaging them in meaningful and productive ventures for self reliant.

The mini durbar and horse carnival brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, families, and well-wishers, featuring horses in elaborate regalia, musicians and traditional drummers.

The event was attended by Alhaji Musa Dan’gogo Aliyu, Sarkin Yakin Minna, Abubakar Audu Buba, Barrister Bello Agwara, Commissioner of Land among other dignitaries.
