Speaker House of Representatives Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, has expressed optimism that prayers offered by the Nigerian Muslims during the Holy month of Ramadan would bring the country to a new dawn.

In a Sallah message by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Malam Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker said Allah has been merciful and gracious to Nigeria, especially in the wake of the country’s socio-economic, security, and political challenges.

The Speaker urged Islamic adherents to continue to imbibe piety, selflessness, charity, and other virtues of Ramadan, stressing that Nigerians cannot afford to reduce their prayers for a better society and nation.

Dr Abbas Tajuddeen who emphasized the numerous lessons attached to the spiritual journey of 30 days observed by Muslims all over the country and indeed across the globe through devotion and sacrifices pray for all acts of ibadah be accepted.

While wishing all Muslims happy Eid-el-Fitr  celebrations,Speaker Abbas appealed to Nigerians to continue to pray for the leaders to succeed for the country to restore its past glories.
