The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Malam Mani Malam Mummuni, has officially registered as a full member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The registration exercise took place at the Zamfara State Government House in Gusau shortly after the opening of a two-day training workshop on APC membership registration across the 14 local government areas and wards of the State.a
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor said the importance of the training could not be over-emphasized.
According to him, the participants were carefully selected to serve as trainers and facilitators who will lead the membership registration exercise in their respective local government areas and wards.
“As we all know, our party continues to receive a growing number of members across the state. It is therefore important that the membership registration process is well structured, transparent and effectively coordinated,” he said.
Malam Mani commended the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, for his efforts in moving the party forward.
The Deputy Governor stressed that, as more citizens continue to identify with the party’s vision and join its ranks, it has become necessary to establish a reliable and comprehensive membership register that reflects the true strength of supporters at the grassroots.
He urged participants to take the assignment with the seriousness it deserves, noting that the success of the exercise will depend on their diligence, integrity and commitment.
Mani Malam Mummuni further explained that the exercise was not only about registering members but also about strengthening the party’s structure at the grassroots and building a united platform that will continue to serve the interests and aspirations of the people of Zamfara State.
The Deputy Governor also, on behalf of the State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal wished the participants fruitful deliberations and a successful workshop.
The Deputy Governor registered along other members of the State Executive Council.
