As the country gears up to next year’s general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdul-Aziz Maituraka, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, for the efforts at implementing the party’s manifesto which has won more support for the party.
The APC stalwart spoke in Katsina at the sidelines of an APC stakeholder engagement attended by the state party executives from fourteen local government areas of the state.
Maituraka, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Radda on Mobilization, urged APC supporters to remain united and committed to the party’s victory in all elective positions in 2027 general elections.
He commended women for their participation in the 2023 elections and appealed for renewed mobilisation from women and youth groups under the All Progressives Congress to sustain its ruling party status beyond 2027.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievement across key sectors are visible to all citizens particularly the economic reforms, efforts at taming insecurity, youth empowerment, infrastructure development and social investment programs under the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
“In Katsina State, the Radda administration has made efforts to address insecurity and roll out several economic and social reforms as well as Urban Renewal and other infrastructure development projects that are making the needed impact on citizens”, he said.
Meanwhile, various youth and women groups at the meeting as well as APC executives at ward and local government levels received various forms of Ramadan assistance.
