Six of the twelve Super Tucanos acquired by Federal Government are expected in the country in July, this year.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, says the remaining six will arrive shortly afterwards.

According to the statement, fourteen pilots to fly them and maintenance personnel are currently undergoing training at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia.

It explains that the Super Tucanos came off the production line in Jacksonville, Florida, and are now being equipped and flight tested.

The statement says the arrival of the Super Tucanos will ease the fight against all criminal elements in the country.
