The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has concluded accommodation arrangements for pilgrims from Nigeria participating in the 2026 Hajj in Makkah and Madinah, ahead of the deadlines set by Saudi Arabian authorities.

This was contained in a statement by the Technical Assistant (Media) to the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Ahmad Muazu.

According to the statement, the uploads applications and their approval by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj aligns with the directive of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, that all critical Hajj arrangements be finalised within approved Saudi timelines to protect Nigeria’s operational interests.

The Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, acknowledged the support of the Vice President throughout the process and commended the contributions of the NAHCON Board, the Nusuk Masar team, the Forum of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, NAHCON staff, and other stakeholders.

The statement noted that with the successful conclusion of the accommodation arrangements, Nigeria is among countries that have met this key requirement within the stipulated time frame.

NAHCON has now moved to the next phase of operational preparations for the 2026 Hajj.
