Former Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has debunked reports circulating on social media, alleging that he is in consultations to defect to the African Democratic Congress-ADC.

A statement signed by the former Minister describes the report as entirely false, unfounded and a product of political mischief.

The statement notes that Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar remains firmly committed to the APC, the party he helped to found, and his loyalty to the party remains absolute and unwavering.

It urges the general public and members of the APC to disregard the false and misleading reports, while re-iterating that the former Minister remains a dedicated member of the party and has no intention, whatsoever of leaving the APC.
