Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has expressed sadness over the terrorist attack on communities in the Borgu Local Government Area of the state
In a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, The Governor described as cruel and nefarious the terrorist attack that led to the death of many people, the kidnapping of several others, and the destruction of livelihoods.
Governor Umar Bago however extends his deepest sympathy to the people of the affected communities, especially the victims and their families over the attack at the Kasuwan Daji, and Sukumbara Village
The Governor, who described the attack as disturbing and worrisome, enjoined people of the state to remain resolute in God, saying his administration was collaborating with Federal Government and security agencies to improve the security in the affected areas.
According to him a joint security team was trailing the terrorists with the view to rescuing the kidnapped victims, and prayed that God will repose the souls of the departed, and grant healing to the injured as well as restore livelihoods that were destroyed.
Meanwhile President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had in a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Bayo Onanuga, ordered military, Police and DSS to hunt down the terrorists behind Kasuwan Daji attack.
